We’re suckers for a good love story and a traditional Chicago wedding. Romantic comedies, dramas, even tragedies – we really do love them all. When we hear a love story that has spanned the globe – including a dramatic, chance first meeting in Lyon, France – well you have our undivided attention.
Each hailing from different continents, Vince + Daria met in France over a chance encounter about sharing wifi in their respective study abroad programs (how sweet and modern is that?!) and over the course of time, fell in love. After a surprise proposal in Disneyworld, they promptly began wedding planning in the groom’s hometown of Chicago. Incorporating some of Daria’s Orthodox and Romanian traditions, they planned an beautiful ceremony a Holy Trinity Orthodox Cathedral followed by an elegant, spirited celebration in the historic Empire room at the Palmer House – with guests from across the globe in attendance.
Truly, this couple is one of the sweetest we’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing. Cheers to them for a lifetime of love and happiness!
